When resigning, it does not pay off to be a decent person and think about your team and transitioning your tasks to a new person in this company. Use all you available time off and resign on your last day. I lost nearly two weeks of PTO when I resigned. HR said they won't pay it nor can I take it as time off after I gave my notice. very weak corporate culture (bean counters that view people as expense line items); ineffective and difficult-to-work-with management; compensation structure that doesn't reward strong performance (same bonus every year); no career progression; terrible benefits; this is more like a garden variety corporate gig than an asset management role; after the initial ramp-up, the job gets very boring and everyone is looking to either coast and pursue outside business opportunities or play office politics games to move around in the organization
