Pros

The manager pay scale is very competitive and new managers get four weeks vacation annually, one week off per quarter. The catch is the management staffing is minimal, usually 3 managers per restaurant and they do breakfast, lunch and dinner. When one manager is on vacation the other two remaining managers have to cover the vacant shifts as in 70+ hours for the week.

Cons

Golden Corral is a hard core restaurant management job. Managers cut a deal with the devil by trading quality of life for money. 10-12 hour shifts are the norm for salaried managers during a typical week. If your restaurant has "issues" expect to be scheduled for a 6 day work week. Also, expect to work every weekend unless you are on vacation.
