Thank you for sharing your input! We strive for one Gong, many careers, so it's great to see your positive feedback about our internal promotion opportunities. We also appreciate the product shout-out. Innovation is at the core of what we do, and we're glad you appreciate our efforts in this area. We understand that the fast-paced nature of our environment may not be for everyone, but we are glad you see it as an exciting aspect of our company culture (we do, too :-)). The evolving product and landscape present continuous learning opportunities, keeping our team engaged and challenged. Thanks for being part of the team! - Suni Lobo (CPO)

Pros

Strong product. Better than competitors for sure, and has a really exciting roadmap.

Cons

Constant turnover amongst leadership team. New CRO is forcing strong leaders out and bringing in his own people in Utah. Since he/they have started, Gong has become unbelievably toxic. Looking at their previous employers’ Glassdoor reviews, this appears to be consistent with how they run their business. No one is happy and everyone is leaving/interviewing for new positions. I don’t even recognize the place anymore. New comp plans were made out to be this amazing new moneymaker, but they are making it basically impossible to make decent money. basically everyone in the sales org feels duped. On top of that, they keep moving the finish line for path to promotion to go upmarket and leaders fail to answer basic questions about promotion criteria. Certain reps are quite literally handed huge deals while others aren’t, it’s very obvious favoritism. SDR org has been unproductive for years, and it’s only getting worse. If you sign up to be an AE here, just know you’re getting underpaid and will be doing the job of an SDR, AE, CSM… good luck getting help from leadership on big deals, as all of their calendars are booked 100% for weeks. I don’t know any salesperson at Gong who isn’t extremely stressed, unhappy and looking for jobs elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate your positive comments on our product & roadmap, but it's disheartening to hear your concerns regarding leadership turnover, pressure & misalignment to our Operating Principles. Employee experience & transparency are central to our culture; we are committed to fostering an environment where every team member is informed, treated equally, and given the opportunity to excel. I'm sorry to hear that hasn't been your experience. Our compensation plans are reviewed annually and are designed to remain competitive to market standards. We regularly benchmark our salaries against external market data and adjust salaries to market fluctuations. We are committed to ensuring our employees are fairly rewarded for their valuable contributions. If you have additional feedback or would like to discuss further, don't hesitate to reach out. - Suni Lobo (CPO)
