Pros

Well respected name in for non profit organization. Beautiful building. Some long term staff. Fair benefits for licensed nurses.

Cons

EXPECTED TO SPEND 10 + hours per day at work, while on salary, even hours on weekends. Temperamental management. Unable to staff for patient acuity related to budget confines.

Pros

Good Sam currently pays its CNAs extra when we are short staffed, which is HUGE. Pretty good benefits and flexible scheduling. I have requested a schedule change many times because I am in school and I always get the new schedule I need. There are often employee appreciation days where pizza or sandwiches are provided for every shift. They clearly want their staff to be happy.

Cons

Often short-staffed, but that goes along with pretty much any nursing home. Sometimes bad aides are not held accountable for poor care or they have not been trained well enough to know how to provide good care.
