      Pros

      I have been with Good Samaritan for 21 years this year and could not be happier. I love the Christian atmosphere and especially the relationships that you develop with residents, families and co-workers. Everyday is full of serving others!

      Cons

      Benefit package and pay are somewhat lower that other companies in this profession. Great support system does help balance out the difference in salary and benefits.

      We take great care of our patients, and the staffing is better than most nursing homes.

      Cons

      The usual with any health care job. Staffing could be even better.

      Flexible Schedule and lots working from home. Company provided laptop. Good pay for new grad nurses. Paid mileage for home visits.

      Cons

      Lack of opportunity for growth in position. 401k matching doesn't happen until after 3 years with the company. Eye/dental benefits aren't very good.
