Pros

Being the largest non-profit nursing home and assisted living facility in the US, there was a lot of training and support to get your job done. As all employers these days, they expect you to get a lot done in a days work and have a good attitude. The people working and living there were awesome and would still be there if I had not moved to the Caribbean.

Cons

Rules and regulations are going to kill most businesses eventually. I spent more time getting updated on policy and studying their antiquated software than doing my job.

Pros

Business is very focused on the happiness of the clients. Will do whatever is possible within reason to accommodate.

Cons

Challenging work leads to a fairly high turnover. Difficult to keep staffing up which leads to working short. This is an opportunity for lots of overtime for those who are willing.
