Inconsistent leadership for nursing
Pros
Generally speaking this is a good organization to work for. Worked first as a CNA, then as an LPN in one of the smaller towns. Fairly good pay and benefits, offer free training for CEU's. It does depend however, on where you are working.
Cons
ALWAYS understaffed! Nurses often end up working the floor due to being short on CNA's. Poor direction from management, during weekly meetings they emphasize how you should "take charge" of your CNA's/wings to make sure things are being done correctly as the resident level of care ultimately reflects back on you. However, when you try to do that, and call out the few CNA's who aren't doing their job, causing the others to be overworked, and resident care to be lax, then you get called out for upsetting the CNA's or being too "hard" on them.
