Very large work load, unfriendly coworkers

This is an organization with a very much top-down corporate structure who are “too big for their britches”. Centralized in South Dakota some facilities such as mine were geographically far away from the corporate headquarters and therefore received very little support that made sense for a rural facility like mine. Frequently bogged down by having to go through multiple chains of command to get simple approvals, often having to request support week after week for months on end. On the other hand I was frequently bogged down with endless meetings and conference calls that were by no means pertinent to me but were required nonetheless. Very little autonomy with regard to decision making which often meant going rouge in order to get things done.
