Pros

The Administration staff was supportive to staff needs and supported me in decisions that had to be made in our office.

Cons

Turnaround with Directors was very high, couldn't keep a director in their position what seemed like more than one year if even that. Very high stress level of work, their is a definite need for an Assistant Director which is what I was essentially doing but without the title or the pay. I ran that Dept for years without a Director and things were fine, then another would come in and mess things up again.

Pros

Well respected name in for non profit organization. Beautiful building. Some long term staff. Fair benefits for licensed nurses.

Cons

EXPECTED TO SPEND 10 + hours per day at work, while on salary, even hours on weekends. Temperamental management. Unable to staff for patient acuity related to budget confines.
