Pros

Different activities that are great for avid readers.

Cons

People keep leaving and roles are not being filled out, which increases the stress and workload on the employees left.

Pros

Really good people. Pretty much everyone cared about books and reading. Lots of interesting conversations at lunch.

Cons

Disorganized management. They had an expansive vision, but were not very good at focusing on what was important. There was also quite a bit of nepotism/cronyism and unwillingness to make the tough decision to let underperforming decision makers go.

Pros

- Book perks - Great culture - Tons of swag - Customer base are readers, authors & publishers, which make for a pleasant work day - Relaxed working environment

Cons

- Now owned by Amazon and incorporating processes which negate the Goodreads culture - Events have smaller budgets, are mandatory, but not appealing - Management obfuscates the truth, leaving employees unsettled and looking elsewhere
