Pros

Free food Google campus atmosphere Bright, friendly colleagues (when you aren’t working directly with them!) Salary

Cons

The recruiting org at Google is a toxic environment- point blank. Constant political plays, people throwing others under the bus (sometimes even by their own manager), the passive aggressiveness pervades all emails and announcements. Constant reorganization leads to people panicking or politicizing for a new role to jump ship. High turnover and low, low morale! Fear based leadership. Coming across people crying in the office or having anxiety issues is not uncommon. How can your recruiters sell people to work at company when they’re constantly suffering from anxiety and mental health issues?!

Pros

Get to choose your own hours

Cons

There's no benefit to being able to "choose your own hours" if you have to base your hours around when clients are available. I find myself waiting for users to show up, which is not only a waste of my time, it definitely restricts my time flexibility which is the whole benefit of taking on this role. I urge anyone considering this company to read through the previous reviews regarding the bait and switch, how they move you to an empty queue (no users to help) if you make a decent amount of money (and that amount is not disclosed, and they don't notify you that they are moving you), and how the "management" is not willing to communicate how anyone's pay is calculated. It has been an extremely disheartening and frustrating experience, and I cannot begin to express how disappointed I am that Google attaches itself to this app. As the parent company, Google really should step in and do something. And to the employee who commented that the issues involving pay and pay changes are borderline illegal...I can't disagree and wish someone had the ability to spark a change so that it's a better working environment which would then lend to a better user experience, and then make the app and company more successful.
