Pros

Perks, compensation, large scale projects

Cons

Lots of managers and lots of related politics. Teams get shutdown in a short notice whenever there's another reorg. Engineering process is quite slow. Hard to deliver results. Many people only care about their perf ratings and not about users and products.

Pros

Even though Google is quickly loosing the shine, the company is still full of great people that were attracted here when Google was the best employer.

Cons

No growth prospects, your Manager will only keep telling you how amazing you are. If you are OK with this you might get promoted from Junior to Mid position in ~3 years, and from Mid to Senior in ~5 years. But you will be completely unemployable outside of Google after that.
