Pros

Good pay, relative job security, less responsibilities than FTE, remote work

Cons

Converting to FTE is increasingly difficult, during interview you have to prove how you uniquely shaped or changed the direction of product, but as TVC you are rarely included in conversations about the direction of product. You are not included in the cultural parts of Google, which means sometimes you have to leave meetings halfway through or join halfway through when the discussion topic changes, which can be awkward.
