Pros
Building level work is wonderful. Great community feeling in most buildings. Supportive co-workers, everyone does what it takes to support the kids and one another.
Cons
Central office level work is terrible. Seeing how the district is run at this level was demoralizing. There is no regard for the staff in buildings, administration is FAR out of touch and do not have any idea nor do they care what is actually going on in the schools. Seeing dedicated staff (teachers and support staff alike) being cheated and steamrolled by HR/Finance/admin was deplorable. They do not care one bit about the staff or the students. Way overpaid, awful human beings who should be stripped of their titles and taken away from public school decision making completely.
