Horrible pay, unhelpful staff, bad patient staff ratio

Pros

None really, maybe a pretty hospital? The cafeteria food is okay, the parking is nice and free for staff. Also some of the programs they have are good.

Cons

Pt ratios are horrible, all new nurses, bad management the pay scale is the worst in Alabama. You can tell that most of the staff there doesn't care about their patients and the managers don't care to much about their staff. They don't push you to get more education and there are no disciplinary actions for people who do bad patient care, even when reported multiple times. Honestly just feels like they want just a warm body there.

Beautiful Hospital. Electronic charting utilized.

Cons

Staff overworked. As soon as the new people come in they leave. Not enough resourses. Not a safe environment for new nurses. Hopefully that will change in the next few months. As for me I am burned out and had to move on.
