Pros

I've loved my experience at Granicus. It's a great team, they have relaxed WFH policies (even pre-pandemic), the culture isn't harsh or competitive like at other sales orgs, and the management team really cares about their employees.

Cons

As with any company that has geographic-based territories, there are those that are more lucrative than others. This is just the reality of this type of sales setup in general, but there should be some recognition for this by management and resources put to help fix it. Additionally, Granicus doesn't quite pay base salaries that most of their employees are worth. Salaries at Granicus are not competitive and that's the number one reason why Granicus loses people. My final con is that once you get to a certain level here, it's hard to find a pathway to move up. Opportunities are few and far between and many of the senior roles are not located where the main offices are, so if you're trying to move up into those positions you don't have a lot of upward mobility unless you're ok with moving.

Pros

Some good coworkers, flexible schedule on some teams

Cons

Pay is severely below market, and varies dramatically without any logical reason. Leadership is ignorant and dismissive of employee concerns about compensation, morale, and product issues. Leadership is willing to "listen" and make "pledges" but unwilling to make any meaningful changes. Many people stay until their 401k vests then leave to make way more money elsewhere, so there's a department-wide lack of product knowledge. Engineers' concerns are often ignored until there is a critical incident. Unreasonable expectations and timelines put upon dev teams by upper management
