Unfair and a trap you can't get out of.

Pros

The pay is good, set hours are good to have. Never really had an issue for taking time off

Cons

New rule in place to not hire anyone without degree and no supervisor promotion, locking hardest working employees out promotion.

Pros

I had a great supervisor which helped to make working with company a lot easier than some other people had it. I met some great people whom I am still friends with. They had a lot of fun activities during the holidays and you were like a team within a team (the company) depending on how close your team was and the types of activities you did outside of work They had incentives when you did a good job example (trip to Naples, FL) and others.

Cons

It was like high school, even management acted in a childish manner. very little opportunity for advancement unless you were a brown noser. They fired many people, especially if you made on little mistake and it did not matter if you generally did your job well (I was not fired by the way). Some people did not belong in their management level positions. Instead of firing some people they just moved them around to different departments and to different positions. Management did not seem compitent, and everyone could use a lot more training

Pros

Granite pays well. You get experience (if you're lucky) working with high-level corporate contacts at some rather large and respected firms. Good stuff to stick on your resume when you make your eventual departure.

Cons

Training is beyond abysmal. Turnover there is so high that they'll take basically anyone who can communicate well. There's lots of complicated stuff going on and they make zero effort to explain it; additionally, things change so fast that wrong information is the name of the game, even when you get it from managers.
