Pros
Not one, pay is good but it's not worth the trauma
Cons
Where do I even start? To preface, I am not an employee here nor have I ever been, but my husband is. I work a corporate job where this unprofessionalism would NEVER be tolerated. I am truly astonished by the things he tells me. Almost every time I speak with him, there's something new that leaves me speechless. My husband is an immigrant who has come to the US for a better life and to build and work on his career. He busted his butt to get here and to make money for himself and his future. Although he definitely won't be a permanent employee here for this rest of his life (he's working on something bigger for himself) I am still LIVID when I hear the comments made to him every single day. The worst part? HR laughs in your face too. I am feeling enraged and angry right now because I feel like there's no one to turn to in order to help his situation. He constantly has to show up to this job and get belittled by his managers and supervisors all while working 12 hours a day 5 days a week. It is absolute insanity. If I am being honest, I am really not sure how this behavior hasn't broken this company already with the world we live in. IMMIGRANTS ARE PEOPLE TOO. Just because their first language isn't the same as yours does not under any circumstances mean that you don't all have the same opportunities in this world. Why do you treat them this way? Does this make you feel good about yourself? I won't stop until I find someone who will help me do something about this. This management is UNREAL. Just for reference: if he's sick and can't come in - that's a point and they belittle him for it, if he wants to take his GUARANTEED vacation days - they try to schedule him in anyways to make him feel unheard, if he tries to explain anything to his manager - they talk over him and act as though he doesn't exist in their conversation. It is truly sad. Not to mention, they weren't paying him the correct rate for almost a year. Graphic Packaging Intl is pathetic.
