Great company but not a great position.
Pros
The company really takes care of you. Medical, eye, dental, and life insurance is cheap because GAIG covers the majority of the cost. They match you're 401k contribution 100% up to 4.5%. Weight room is only $50 a year. Insurance, 401k, and parking are all tax deductible. Weight room, employee stock purchase program, and group term life are not, but they offer you AFG stock and a 15% discount. Also, disability is 60% of your income. Very secure company for you and as a business they are very conservative. Not risky position what so ever. The company performs very well.
Cons
Find the right position. The job I have requires me to sit at a desk and stare at a computer all day, mostly in isolation. I do not believe sitting at a desk all day and staring at a computer is healthy for your body and your mind. Many people feel it to be okay and that is fine but if you get a chance to take a job that allows you to speak to people, build relationships, and gives you a variable schedule, I would take it over a position behind a desk.
