Pros
Great American is a good company to work for. The company is financially sound. Great American offers good benefits and takes care of its employees. They are headquartered in Cincinnati but also have offices all over the U.S. There are opportunities internally to both be promoted and to also move laterally into different positions. The people are generally great people to work with as well. The salaries are comparable to similar positions in the same industry. The company has always had a conservative investment policy and they are still in great shape in this current down economy. They haven't announced any layoffs and it doesn't look like they will.
Cons
There are a lot of politics in IT. The internal teams don't communicate much or work together well at times.
