Pros

I guess that being paid during this horrible experience was the only pro.

Cons

Depressing atmosphere, being set up to fail, poor compensation and benefit package.

Pros

The Christmas parties are cool

Cons

The pay isn't good, parking around the building is expensive. The company claimed they remodeled the whole building to "listen to their employees working remotely", then that was taken away. Back to four days in office, but some business units remain fully remote, even though located in Cincinnati, which isn't fair at all.

Pros

The only good thing I could think of is that their benefits are solid, their hybrid work schedule allows you to WFH 3 days a week.

Cons

I was reluctant to post this review because I felt like outlier, and I know that my opinions will be drowned out by positive ones, but I hope that this serves as a warning to any LGBTQ or POC employee. Despite GAIC's supposed commitment to DEI, the company remains an "old boys club" (one of which many women are a part of), where double standards run rampant. Imagine constantly having your intelligence called into question by a boss less educated than you. Imagine also having that same boss promote you twice and then turn around and PIP you when you challenge their opinion. Imagine that same boss then criticizing you of mistakes that she made (and then some). This is the kind of treatment you will get GAIC if you don't fit the boot-licking image they're looking for. The hire sycophants and keep sycophants. Writing this review feels cathartic. When they finally let me go, it hurt for a moment, but I had enough marketable skills to find work elsewhere, and (sure enough) I got a much better job. Leaving Great American is like leaving an abusive partner. At first, your perceptive of reality is heavily distorted, but you begin to heal and realize there are good people in this world. It will take some time to repair the emotional damage, but I'm getting there little by little.
