Underpaid and overworked

Pros

Students disciplined and creative; dress code

Cons

Underpaid for all the work, never received requested documentation for over 200 hours of additional subject expert training I received, asked to use a vast amount of personal time, evaluate and review student character qualities and not just academic ability in a way beyond other schools. Not supportive of staff.

Pros

Wonderful, inspiring colleagues. Fine Arts will never be an elective. Honorable leaders. Get to know students and develop strong relationships.

Cons

So focused on Humane Letters (history/English class), true concept of Liberal Arts is not fully embraced. Lack of diversity (though at least they want more) in students and faculty. Low salary and the way to grow.move ahead is to add more responsibility (hours) often without pay.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good and faculty and staff are valued.

Cons

Administration does not follow the rules and provides special favors to certain staff and PSO members to the detriment of the emotional well being. of the students. Ignores parent inquiries and allows faculty and staff to have intimate relationships with parents in positions of power (PSO) and ignores the student records as to whom is to permitted to remove a child from campus. I am concerned because administration disregards or doesn't check paperwork to ensure the children are permitted to leave with the identified contacts for pick up. Also some faculty are allowed to bend the rules if they are involved with parents who are on the PSO.
