The workforce I had the privilege to work with felt very much like a team. Everyone was willing and able to step in for each other and we all had the same goal and motivation to see it through.

Cons

Lack of resources and funding. But they do what they can with it. The Curriculum is a little backwards in some areas and has a distinct lack of education in cultural diversity.

Pros

Curriculum is good and the student who can absorb it do. Some teacher are wonderful and educated but not certified teachers.

Cons

Teachers are not certified in most cases. Lots of family connections with staff. It’s who you know and lots of couples and family groups whom are friends with upper management work there. If you don’t follow demands which at times are not legal they will make your experience a bad one. Pay is very low.

Great Hearts Academies Response

Our academies are very diligent about following requirements set forth by the Department of Education in Arizona and Texas. Per charter school guidelines, our instructors are not required to be certified (with exceptions to special education, etc). We value your feedback about your experience working for GH Irving.
