Pros

-Great People to work with. There is not one person who is not a pleasure to work with! -Company shares a lot of data and success. -Open door policy means leaders are always available to help or brainstorm ideas. -Very challenging interview process. This is good and bad. -Team based/open environment -Senior leaders and most middle managers are exceptional! -Culture is great and it seems the company does care for its employees in most cases.

Cons

-Somewhat conservative when making decisions. Makes it hard to be in front of the curve. -0 Flexibility regarding working from home- If the whole city shuts down you need to be in the office regardless or take one of the few vacation days you get. (So instead of using vacation days for... VACATION, you have to save it up for those days where your car breaks down, or the roads are slick, or your child gets sick etc...). -Pay could be better in most cases.

Pros

1. Incredibly engaged and talented employees. Everyone takes great pride in the company, and feels like they share in its success. 2. Excellent senior management team. The entire C-Level team is very well tenured at the company, and are very approachable and well liked. The company goes to great efforts to share information about strategic and financial decisions, and all employees are on a bonus plan based on company performance. 3. The company has been growing very consistently since it was founded, and this provides excellent opportunities for advancement. The original founder and still majority owner Tony G's first priority was treating employee's well, and the company has never had a single layoff in its history.

Cons

1. Bad employees are few and far between, but the company refuses to fire under performers and this can be annoying for every one else. 2. Cedar Rapids is a very boring place to live, and has virtually no young professional scene.

Pros

Incredibly focused and deliberate approach to running a successful company. Culture REALLY IS a key component to the success and it receives visible investments of time, energy and $$ from all corners of the company. Compensation and benefits are more than fair from a pure numbers standpoint. But the intangible benefits of enjoying my work, making a difference and really feeling like the company cares easily knock it out of the park from there.

Cons

We are a young company that has gone from only a few business units to many. We're not perfect and never will be. Growing pains happen. The good news is that these are typically treated as opportunities to preserve and sustain our core values, and we look for the type of folks who are hungry for these types of challenges.
