Creative environment. Great designs. Employee discount.

GS berates you and other members of the team on an ongoing basis. You live in fear. Not a normal office, by any means. Very high turnover.

I wish I could think of a pro. I really do.

Wow—just, wow. What a corrupt, thankless, saddening place. You are treated like a complete peasant. I’ve worked in the fashion and journalism industry for almost 10 years and I have never experienced anything like that. I got out of there as fast as I can and I highly recommend you stay away. It was the worst year of my life. There is no work/life balance (id often work for 70-80 hours a week with little pay) and the company morale is so low. The place is an unorganized mess and they will beat you until you have nothing left to give. You learn nothing, you acquire nothing, and you leave with nothing. I’m at a different company now and just the fact that I get a lunch break still surprises me sometimes because I was so used to being abused. ALL THE POSITIt’s the worst possible place to end up, and as one human being to another, I advise you keep away from this abusive, lying, corrupt, anti-creative environment and take anything else... LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.

Pros

Working for Gretchen Scott has been a great experience overall. When I first joined the sales team, I was little intimidated by my more experienced coworkers. But they welcomed me with open arms immediately and did everything to make me feel comfortable. Everyday, I am able to learn something new from my intelligent colleagues, and I am so grateful to work with such driven people! Sometimes, I feel a little pressured to beat last years numbers but they never ask me for more than I can handle and are very understanding. I get along well with everyone in the office including Gretchen. The work space is beautiful. Every Wednesday an ice cream truck comes and Gretchen tells all her employees to go outside and choose what they want, its her treat. Sometimes she orders lunch for the office. Overall, I really enjoy working here and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
