Pros

Can make great money. Simple as long as you can adapt to obscure hours, no radio, and have no problems with passengers.

Cons

Must file a lot of paperwork including; logs, count sheets, and extra pay if you go overtime. Will never get straight ansewer, there is the Greyhound way and the realistic way to do things. Do what works best for you. Bend the rules, but don't break the law.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to work. Good pay. Very little direct supervision. Motor Coaches are being upgraded.

Cons

Lots of complaining and grumpy coworkers. Management and dispatchers really don't know much. You will rely heavily on fellow drivers for help when starting out. Lots of upset customers, and you have very little you can do for them.

Pros

- It is a union environment, so you are pretty safe - Pay is not bad for entry level positions like Express Clerk - You can get time off if necessary - There are always hours to be had if you are willing to work - You know when you are working every week, you may be rescheduled every few months

Cons

- Lack of communication between departments gets frustrating - Management does not communicate with front line employees - Different standards and procedures from one city to another - Constant cost cutting, insufficient investment in the company - There is no morale, people are not proud of where they work or the service they offer - Hard work can easily go unnoticed, and the wrong people rewarded because of influence - There is no such thing as career development and professional growth - No training, learn as you go
