Pros

You can start at a low level position and effectively rise through the ranks to a more senior role. Livable wages for onsite staff. Diversity and Inclusion at the forefront of culture in the Charlotte office. Role encompasses many tasks from sales, admin, accounting, and development projects that empower the employees and contribute to job satisfaction.

Cons

Senior leadership creating environment of uncertainty and lack of confidence, hopefully just some growing pains however it is being felt at all levels. Internal opportunities are hidden from current employees and positions are filled by upper management (RPM/Directors) without properly posting and considering all applicants for the role. You will not have a work/life balance, and the higher you climb the less of a personal life you will have. You must have a strong support system of family and friends to handle the high stress role

Pros

There are not any pros

Cons

Incompetent managers and upon receiving promotions, will NOT provide adequate training to succeed. Or actually, provide any training at all. Rude managers that look out ONLY for themselves and could care less about their employees. Complete crock of crap waste of my life. No respect. Treatment of residents was horrible. Charge wherever you can. Extreme minimal effort to resolve issues internally or with residents. Overall, the worst.

Pros

- Depends on your manager, but I was fortunate to have had great experiences with my managers and my team - Basic Medical benefits are $0 for the team member after 3 years of service - Student living or Senior housing is the place to be as a CM, would not suggest conventional

Cons

- If you’re a CM, don’t expect to be able to move departments unless you want to be an RPM. Even then, they’ll hire most RPMs from the outside. - Employees stay because of the team, not because of the company. The downside to this is that when a manager leaves, the team can quickly lose faith and motivation which often leads to as mass exodus of a team. - Accrued PTO (just give a set # of days from the start of the year) - Do not expect to have a work life balance. Especially if you go on vacation, you’ll still need your laptop and expectations are that you will respond and answer your phone. - Salary is weak. You could go to another mgmt company for more. - Mgmt of COVID response was awful
