Pros
In theory there are a lot of opportunities, a lot of big and very well known companies. Very nice people in the office in general. No toxic workplace or colleagues. In theory there is mobility between different specializations with support from company in the form of company learning programs. There are opportunities to contribute to company growth in the form of non project related activities. You can definitely manage your work life balance to your preferences if you know how to stand up for yourself.
Cons
Reality of opportunities is different, depending on the demand in your location you will most likely have a limited choice. Constant risk of projects being canceled, management having a disconnect when it comes to employee satisfaction. A lot of delivery managers require you to "prove yourself" to them despite you proving yourself to other managers before. Mobility between different specializations is secondary to delivery.
