A little disorganized/chaotic sometimes, but overall good

Pros

The work is straightforward, the pay is fine. I've found the schedule to be fairly flexible, although I'm admittedly lucky because I get along well with both my coworkers and the owners- that makes everything a lot easier. Time off requests are easy to make and generally accommodated for (within reason). I haven't had any significant complaints, but I've also never worked anywhere else, so I can't say if it's any better or worse than working at the average grocery store... I'd guess it all depends on the management.

Cons

There's a high employee turnover, so sometimes we end up running around like understaffed little chickens with our heads cut off. They try to schedule me as much as possible and I sometimes need to put my foot down if I want only a certain amount of hours/shifts. Doesn't help that (at our store, at least) the training program is sort of nonexistent. There's several esoteric quirks in the GO system, and not really a standardized way of teaching them to new employees, which can lead to annoyance/reworks later down the road. That being said, the basics are pretty simple and it isn't hard to stay out of trouble.
