Pros

They are flexible if you need time off or have to leave work due to emergencies. They give you an hour lunch. They do feed the employees from time to time or do cooked meals once a week which was nice. The pay is on a sliding scale so if the boss likes you you'll make more.

Cons

Where to start. This place is horrible. Management is awful. Upper mgt is seriously racist and homophobic. I worked here for a few years and the things I witnessed were appalling. Upper management likes to gossip about employees to other employees .. highly unprofessional. They expect so much work to be done by certain individuals but let other employees literally do nothing. The atmosphere here is extremely toxic. Upper management in particular, 1 of the uppers love to stir the pot and create tension between coworkers, it's wild. Not to mention how employees who are not qualified or trained to do any type of loss prevention will chase down anyone whom they think are stealing, the guys that work there act like a feral pack of dogs and chase down whomever it is... especially the high school kids. Its all on video and these kids could sue for the way they are thrown around and assaulted by the employees doing this...and over what a bag of chips and candy. Any POC is automatically watched because they are racist at this place. 95% of the staff is very homophobic which is ridiculous since there is such a chunk of LGBTQIA+ people that shop there. The men that work there are a bunch of "good ol boys"...full of hate and judgment, some of the women are no better thats for sure. Employees love to gossip about other employees. Even myself partook in gossip because how can you not get swept up when it's all around you. There is no real health insurance at this place. These are all my own opinions and what I First hand saw working there for 4 years. After leaving this place a weight was lifted off I didn't even fully process how horrid this place was till a year ago and now that I've moved out of OR I feel like I should leave an honest review to warn other people about this place. Honestly I wish the public knew how racist and homophobic these people are so they can make a more informed decision on where they are spending their money.

Pros

- Fun, informal culture - Strong mission, values-based - Growing company - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Cons

- Compensation not very competitive - Culture undergoing change, becoming more hierarchical (lots of leaders but not a lot of doers to execute strategy) - Hybrid (3 SPECIFIC days onsite) - Some execs very "old school" in approach to a lot of things
