Free meals and events were nice.

Cons

The pay was a bit low and the job function shifted while I was there and is the main reason for my leaving.

Pros

I have never felt so fulfilled by a job than I have at Grow. The constant ability to learn and expand my skill set is unparalleled. There is so much room to problem solve and managers give employees the autonomy they need to be innovative and make an impact individually. The leadership team is constantly looking for ways to give employees opportunities and help them grow. Lastly, people care. People care here at Grow more than anywhere else. Employees care about each other, we care about our customers, and we care about the success of the company. You know you have a good thing when everyone is working towards the same goals selflessly, and that is Grow in a nutshell.

Cons

The only constant is change. Grow is a true start up environment, as a result you may experience frustrations or growing pains that you wouldn’t at a more mature company. You will be asked to wear many hats or pivot suddenly which may not be for everyone.

Pros

Best team I ever worked on. People would jump at chances to help you learn. The culture of the company was excellent when I was initially hired (this changed for the worse) My immediate managers cared about my growth and helped me find opportunity. Really the product could be incredible and many people that work here want to build a robust product that dominates the BI space.

Cons

Beware the positive reviews, it is a common practice for the CEO and HR to ask people to post positive things to bury the problems that are exposed here. Where to start, for the entire time I was an employee our churn numbers we astronomically high. And when asked about job security we were told by the CEO, "don't worry our board isn't worried about those numbers" That was clearly not true as not long after that was said, 25% of the company was let go. All this happened only a month after a large executive trip to California. Really bad look for all upper management. There weren't any opportunities for promotion or growth. Granted that makes sense since with the churn and subsequent cash burn were so high. Your salary here will be well below market average, and you'll be told, "you'll gain so much experience from working at a start up, the smaller salary will totally be worth it." Spoiler, it won't. The product has an incredible foundation. It's powerful and simple to use. Unfortunately it only worked 75-80% of the time. The rest of time people were left trying to keep customers happy with a broken product. The sales team disintegrated to literally one person because bugs would exist for so long that live demos became impossible. The CEO decided to hold a company wide Q&A session which was an awesome move. Unfortunately the hard questions were either dodged or half answered I personally know more than one person who had amazing external offers, asked the CEO if they could get any kind of internal salary match, and were told the company policy is to never match any offers. All that shows is employees are expendable and you can just be replaced. There isn't much respect from upper level managment. During my time there we had 8 different C level executives leave the company, that kind of turnover in a start up screams money issues and future stability problems. If I were you, I wouldn't even interview here.
