Pros
Tech is solid. Internal infrastructure is well put together and runs pretty smoothly. Very well position to (continue to) succeed in the liquid biopsy space with a healthy pipeline. In theory not a biotech I'd worry too much about major layoffs in the future.
Cons
I've never worked at a company before where as a scientist my work was so informed by revenue targets - upper management creates a frenzy about turning projects around so quarterly goals can be met. It's probably effective from a maximizing revenue standpoint but it cultivates a miserable working culture where work life balance is non-existent. Was common for the team to be working weekends and holidays and an unspoken expectation of always being available was pervasive. Felt very sink or swim though I imagine that's manager dependent. Many of my former colleagues were there on sponsorship for immigration status and felt unable to leave despite a real distaste for the company. Maybe all of this comes down to the team you're on, but if you're considering taking a role here try to really drill in to the work culture. I don't mind working the occasional late night or weekend to get something done that actually needs completing, but when it's happening on a quarterly basis so VPs can tout their revenue it burns people out real fast.
