Pros

Guardian is a larger company so you get exposure and experience with dealing with a company of that size. There have job positions for employees of all education levels and skills.

Cons

It can be difficult to move within the company if you don't know the right people. Implementing change can be a difficult process when some upper management rather have things the way they are.

Pros

Former environment encouraged loyalty which led to greater profitability. Employee ideas were encouraged. Career path was clear and longevity equated with experience.

Cons

Fear of mistakes has created a CYA culture. More time spent fixing blame rather than fixing problems.
