Pros

Pay rate, benefits, 401K. I was hired in Data Entry at $14/hour but when I become a supervisor and interviewed candidates they offered as much as $20/hour. Don't suggest a low pay rate because they will take it.

Cons

The most difficult job I ever had. Several "deadlines" every shift when the meds leave for delivery and it can be a nightmare. Horrible nurses at the homes who complain constantly due to disorganization and Data Entry takes all the calls. We adjudicate the claims as well and if there is an issue you have to make the call to send the med or not and its a loosing battle. One day you don't send the $1000 antibiotic and you get written up and the next you send the same med and get written up for the high cost. It's unsettling. They are always looking to play the blame game and the pharmacists are not held responsible as much as the technician who processed it. I was good at my job and promoted but I asked myself daily if I was going to get fired. They fired people constantly and for unexplained reasons. Worst job ever. Stressful, difficult, and office politics.

Pros

They have office get togethers (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween parties). They are pretty good at recognizing their employees birthdays and celebrating them as well.

Cons

Pay is not that great. Hours for me were not suitable for a person that wants to have a life outside work. Raises are disrespectful towards the employee that works hard all year long and is depending on a good raise. Too many times we had to send partial orders of meds to our facilities cause we didn't have the stock.

Pros

Exceptional employees, possessing great experience and educational backgrounds, help to mitigate noticeably erratic management. Employees are afforded a great deal of autonomy, but this can overlap into a lack of managerial support. Spacious, clean and convenient workplace.

Cons

Management has a long history of resorting to employee termination far too often to solve workflow issues. There is also much room for improvement in acknowledging employee performance and rewarding workplace dedication.
