Not only do they have poor merchandising returns as per other reviews, but poor management overall. The positive reviews come from those who are in somewhat cushy jobs and get paid "well" compared to the Italian counterparts or simply are trying to ingratiate themselves with management. Senior management will abuse their powers and dangle the carrot in front of you with no intention of giving it to you. Even then salaries are way below the rest of Switzerland. I guess that doesn't affect the frontalieri as much given the strong swiss franc as of the time of this write up (Jan 2024), who then believe that they are better than their Italian counterparts and lose a lot of humility according to Italians in the varesotto area. In my opinion, there is a lot of superiority complex amongst upper management who use manipulation tecniques to blame everyone else and do not own their mistakes. Threats will be made as well. Vagueness instead of clear and transparent communication will be given so as to avoid responsability. I would take out legal insurance for 30 francs a month as you might as well need it in case of litigation. Also tech wise it lags compared to other retail/fashion, with lots of duplications and manual intensive processes, hence I'm not surprised of the many issues and slowness in processing returns presented here and what have you. I personally had a negative experience working here and rather work at different retail/fashion company. Here, they have a very traditional Italian culture (in all the negative ways unfortunately - high bureacracy, politics, people pleasing, favoritism, etc.) though they try to pass it off as hip and modern and flat organizational structure. I would carefully assess where I am and where I want to go so not to waste time and energy in what I believe to be not a sustainable working environment. And people smoke lots, especially at upper and middle management and provide also easier access to management. Also I noticed that the upper management does not wear Guess clothing but rather go in stylish and more expensive Italian clothing as if they are too good to wear the products that pays for their salaries. I am normally wary of people not using the products that they make, especially in the upper eschelon.
