Volatile and Dramatic

Pros

This company has great discounts and benefits. The experience gained here is very helpful to anyone who wants to have a career in the retail industry.

Cons

Overall, working here is dominated by politics and drama. Word goes around the office like high school gossip, and everyone is scared of the CEO. Everyone has their own clique. People will only discuss certain matters depending on who you are and will put you in your place if need be. People are promoted based on favoritism and tenure.

No room for advancement

Pros

Fun events like "Oscar Parties" (photo booth & cotton candy at lunch), Gourmet cafeteria, sample store on site. One hour lunch, on-site gym w/ daily classes (yoga, spinning, kick-boxing...).

Cons

Very strict about being on time (heard ppl have even been fired for being 5 min. late). Few holidays off. Not much room for advancement, little internal promotion. Low pay for non-upper mgmt. Seems like a good place to learn/gather experience for work in fashion, it just stagnates after awhile.

Job Security? What's That?

Pros

Brand name looks good on your resume, employee discounts are nice, company throws great parties, casual office attire at the corporate offices

Cons

No job security, anyone can be fired at anytime and it happens. Don't think that just because you have been around for a long time that you are safe. There is a lack of logic in most of the decisions that come down from the top. Working here involved a lot of long hours and they expect you to come in on Saturdays at corporate, too. You basically get one day off a week, if you are lucky.
