Pros

telework (only since March 2020 though, and not sure how long it will still be an option)

Cons

-Deceptive recruiting practices -Immature management -Compensation is below average -winning the company new business is the only performance metric (other than utilization rate) -essentially punished for taking PTO, which is minimal to begin with -slimy and unsophisticated c-suite, partners, etc -staff augmentation... NOT a consulting role -after only 19 months, most of the people I onboarded with have left -HR there to protect partners from lawsuits- not to help employees -no meaningful investment in learning or development

Pros

Like-minded, good people/peers - almost all were looking to leave, however.

Cons

Where to start? I joined pre-Guidehouse (PwC PS), and everything I was sold evaporated. Zero development options, zero HR outside of DC (think about that for a minute), and zero honest faith by partner to root out and change toxic managers and gunner managers.

Pros

Some people seemed to like it but it seemed to depend completely on the team you are working with and who your client is.

Cons

It depends completely on your team and your client. Make sure who you interview with is actually who you end up working with - what I was sold and what my reality was were completely different. There has been a lot of turnover, which leads to a lack of understanding and continuity in projects. A lot of middle management is quite young; they are good at billing hours and playing the game but bad at managing, training, and leading their teams. The partners are completely hit or miss.
