- very very low bonuses and empty promises of pay increase and promotion - work is mundane, unpromising, and not interesting - stuck doing the same kind of work for months at a time - sometimes nothing to do - no office culture - ignored by higher-ups unless you're from their "background" - people who don't know what their doing get promoted over the hard workers

Not competitive in pay but makes up for it in culture and work environment
