Pros

There are really good opportunities to learn more business development opportunities - not so great if you’re wanting to be a data scientist.

Cons

The company is so focused on growth that it can’t deliver the contracts it wins - new employees are fodder for the grinding mill and not valued. Especially on national security accounts where the growth has been higher. It is common knowledge among staff that data scientists have been taken out of data science positions altogether on projects because the demand wasn’t there. Employees are expected to churn long hours on business development and bringing money in the door - data science comes after, and if you leave no one cares as long as they keep winning contracts
