Pros

Excellent office culture, very kind co-workers and managers who are caring and always willing to help. Diverse, multi-cultural environment. Great opportunity to learn about various industries and what's happening in them. Salary + performance bonus are great for an entry-level position in Singapore. Benefits are good too, including gym allowance, medical, dental, company outings, and a nice office in a central location. The tasks themselves (stalk LinkedIn, cold-call, cold-InMail, basically offer people money to do phone consultations) are generally doable for the average population.

Cons

Extremely fast pace - due to the nature of the industry, it is inevitable to expect results in a matter of days, sometimes hours. Constantly very heavy on social interaction over phone, LinkedIn, email, WhatsApp, which can be extremely draining for introverts. Stress over monthly targets - they are feasible, but if you're the type to brood over these things, they may feel like knives hanging over your head. Repetitive and rather monotonous workflow. Requires multi-tasking skills as you handle 6+ projects at a time (I personally find the constant task-switching very tiring).

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear about your positive experience working in our Singapore office. We agree that we have excellent company culture with competitive salary and benefits. We recognize that certain elements of the entry-level Client Service Associate position can be repetitive, and often find that repetition early in the role is a great way to learn and refine skills needed for success. If you wish to continue the conversation about your experience, please email us at feedback@guidepoint.com. Best of luck in your future professional endeavors!

Pros

They found me. They trusted me. They placed me. I did the job. I got paid in no time Quick, efficient, honest, They really give you a helping hand. Once you registered, you are part of the family

Cons

From my honest viewpoint, and im pretty serious, there are no cons. This business is managed by a team of highly skilled masters who can source out skill on the head with a streamline operating model. I am truly impressed.

The worst company I ever worked for.

Pros

It's an acceptable job if you are straight out of university, young, unexperienced and desperate for employment. Apart from that, I would struggle to find any positive points - I left a few months ago and never looked back.

Cons

Where shall I begin? - basic, uninteresting, repetitive and intellectually underwhelming work. They might present it as ''Review and analyse client research requests and use a range of resources to identify the most relevant subject matter experts across geographies, industries, and topics for each project'', but do not kid yourself, it's nothing but stalking and spamming people on LinkedIn. Nothing more, nothing less. - toxic work culture: employees are pressurised to stay overtime even if there is no work left to be done. Eyebrows are raised if you are in the office at 8h45 despite the official start being later. Lots of pressure to hustle and appear busy for the sake of appearances. - awful management: Lack of transparency regarding promotions, absence of clear structure regarding personal development and abundant favouritism. Forget objective performance reviews. Forget learning and development. Your numbers can be up and running, but if for some subjective reason management decides to pick up on you, you might be isolated, bullied and told to ''improve or else''. - high turnover: New people appear and disappear on a weekly basis. Some leave out of disillusionment, some are called in for the meeting in which they are fired, paid their last salary on the spot and told to clear their desks immediately. The people at the top survived due to mixture of luck and ruthlessness, and relish in humiliating and degrading everyone below.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you giving us insight into your particular experience and are invested in ensuring a positive work experience for all Guidepoint employees. To ensure there are no miscommunications from the start, we explain our roles in detail throughout the hiring and interview process, which involves an example of the day-to-day in a particular role. Guidepoint has a strong practice of promoting from within, and we have formal procedures to ensure employees are rewarded for their work. Many of our entry-level client service employees have been promoted on or before their 12-month anniversary date. In the instances that an employee is not promoted in their first 12 months, it is because the employee is not ready to move to the next position. Performance reviews are also given in the middle of the year as well as at the end of the year in our London office. During the review meeting, employees have an opportunity for self-evaluation as well as feedback from their manager against the objectives set. All employees are given targets to aid them in developing into a Research Manager. Thank you again for your input. Please email us at feedback@guidepoint.com should you wish to continue the conversation about your experience. Best of luck in your future professional endeavors.
