Warm and supportive environment

Pros

This is my seventh year as a Montessori Guide, but my first year with Guidepost. They have been transparent and supportive every step of the way. All personnel responsible for the transition (our school was bought by GP) have been warm and encouraging. As a guide, I feel heard and supported. They have spared no expense in ordering materials that are needed or providing constant professional development. They have also provided much needed curriculum in the areas of reading, writing, science and art. The lessons are easy to deliver and engaging for all students. As a parent, they communicate well and efficiently through email and apps. This is a wonderful company to work for and I'm proud to have my children attend as well.

Cons

As stated above, they provide lots of PD and curriculum, which may be overwhelming to some in terms of keeping up with the demands. Teachers are required to post several times a week per child on Transparent Classroom, so teachers should be comfortable with tech and implement a system to ensure they meet the weekly requirements.

Pros

As a mother and as a Guide (teacher), I highly recommend Guidepost to everyone I know with children. Guidepost staff is friendly and team oriented with the mission of "Guide and be Guided." Very clean and safe environment to work and to bring your child. Teachers focus on the foundation of grace and courtesy. The academic part for the 3rd year students in Children's House overpass the requirements of public school kindergarten, while helping children to develop social, emotional, and problem solving skills. Great community of supportive parents.

Cons

It is a huge commitment to work year round, but it's worthy.

Great opportunities, a supportive environment, continuing professional development, lots of feedback/time to give feedback, breaks and time off when needed, recognition for a job well done, quality materials and beautiful prepared environments - a school-wide love of Montessori!

Cons

be prepared for a lot of hard work!
