Pros

Great gear discounts, networking system online, support to publish and sell your music in-store and companywide, learn all about gear

Cons

High employee turn-around, the pay was really low. GC has had several lawsuits for their practice of making your 1% commission on GP cover your hourly wage before it counts. Managers consistently talked us out of unionizing. Growth doesn't happen unless you work in the city.

Pros

Great place to develop education administration skills. Educational materials are solid and well organized. Tons of resources.

Cons

The average Guitar Center store is not someplace I would want to take my kids for regular lessons. Placing the Lessons studios in the back, and making people walk through the entire store is tacky. It emphasizes the fact that they are concerned more about making money than they are with the growth of the students.
