Pros

- The culture was pretty chill at the Support Center, and co-workers made it worth going to work every day. They had some cool events here and there as well. - Very casual environment

Cons

- Too much office politics, and some of the management (especially in Human Resources) are not qualified to be in the positions they are; backstabbing buffoons. - Employees are way underpaid compared to the average salary for certain positions. - Benefits are garbage (especially medical). - There is a huge disconnect between management and employees—they always talk about “breaking down silos” but either fire or discourage ‘associates’ that actually try to make a difference. - Too much micromanagement; if HR and/or the MC wants you gone, they will nitpick you until you either quit or they fire you.

Bittersweet Job

Pros

The retail activities of the job are rather easy. The company culture is definitely rather laid back and allows you to be really be yourself as long as you are respectful and helpful with the customers. It is a great place to work if you need a flexible job that will understand when you have gigs or other things to do. The discounts on gear is definitely the best perk of this job.

Cons

The downside is that it customers expect you to know EVERYTHING about everything, and pretentious know it all customers are a daily occurrence. You will learn to use google for people. Locations like Atlanta are breeding grounds for upper management so it is constantly a revolving door of store managers and that can be difficult to adjust to. The hourly wage is low, and commission structure sucks. You have to work really hard or have a large personal network of customers for decent pay here.
