      Poor pay and even worse management.

      Pros

      Great for employee discounts on gear. Also get to meet some really cool musicians. Guaranteed job if you are a musician who does a lot of touring because GC offers "gig leave".

      Cons

      Poor management, never on the same page, no real new hire training program, poor pay, no one is treated with respect and equality. Currently there is no room to grow with the company. Current employees get promised room for growth but in most cases this is rarely seen through.

      Pros

      If you are a musician there are plenty of perks, and the company culture is casual. You have an opportunity to really apply yourself and learn skills that you can use anywhere. It's (usually) rewarding to help customers with their gear purchases and with the company's growth there are always new positions to shoot for.

      Cons

      Unless you have a good job in management, the pay is low for salespersons and with all the extra tasks you have to do, this can detract from selling which is where you would (hopefully) make your commission.

      Not much to do to keep you busy. Managers don't recognize the talent they have around them.
