Hi, we appreciate the time you have taken to share this review with us, thank you. Learning from feedback, such as yours, is the first step towards improvement, so we respect your honesty. We frequently use recognised sources of market data when rewarding employees, as well as inviting our employees to share their feedback on pay annually, as this ensures our pay and perks are employee driven. We have also made some significant changes this year, including the rollout of our Performance Culture Roadshow. This provides our employees with the necessary tools they need to progress with their personal and professional goals, and we are seeing the benefit of this investment! We would love to discuss the points you have raised in further detail. Please reach out to your People Partner, or The People Team, who'd be happy to listen and learn! Rest assured, we understand our people are at the heart of Gymshark, and we will do our very best to take your feedback on board. Thank you.

Pros

Lovely location at Blythe valley, food at refuel, good amenities and nice colleagues in your team (not so much for management).

Cons

Working hours in CS were on a rotating schedule and not ideal for someone who requires fixed hours or looking to get away from that model. Lack of diversity is shocking especially for a company based outside Birmingham, it’s a very homogeneous environment. Pay was lacklustre and bonuses weren’t always guaranteed. Management was still very much Ben’s boys club and missing substance. The company was much better under the direction of Steve and the atmosphere just wasn’t the same when he left.

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback with us on Glassdoor. We’re constantly striving to improve in all areas, and your feedback is the first step in these improvements. Firstly, we are sorry we couldn't have made your experience working with us more positive! In order to provide our customers with world-class customer service, our Customer Support team is contracted to work shift patterns, as this means we will always be there to help our community, should any issues arise. However, we also understand this may not be suited for everyone, and we're disappointed we weren't able to make these shifts more convenient for you! We believe in our people, and the amazing talent our employees have, which is why, this year, we have made a real effort to promote and encourage progression from within Gymshark, and we are truly loving seeing our employees excel! We are also confident that our pay and perks are competitive and use recognised sources of market data when rewarding employees to create total reward packages that are fair and consistent for everyone. We invite all of our employees to tell us their views about our pay and benefits annually so that we can ensure that this is employee-driven, however, we'd also love to hear more from you! If you'd be up for a more in-depth discussion, please reach out to one of our representatives at glassdoorresponses@gymshark.com. Thank you again.

Pros

- Great office's - Great gym - Great food - Most employee's are great to work with and know what they are doing.

Cons

- Some Head Of / Managers are only in that position because the 'business grew' and don't have the experience to be at that level. - Salaries are no where near market rate. This is subsidised by 'Employee Benefits' but they are not that good if you don't live close to the office. - Expected to work 12+ hours days during busy sale periods. - Not a great place to work if you want a career, I was there for just under 4 years and never had a development plan / career growth opportunities. - My advice is to get it on the CV and leave after 12 months.

Hey, thank you for your honest review. We really appreciate it! We do recognise that more could have been done in the past to support employees with their career plans. However, we have now developed a Performance Culture plan for all employees so they are able to focus on their progression. Having said that, if you feel as though we could learn more from your experience, please reach out to one of our representatives and together we can work on making Gymshark an even better place to work for our current employees.
