Awful work culture

Pros

Decent benefits. Access to Wellhub, generous holiday and staff discount.

Cons

Unfortunately what could be a fantastic flagship work experience at Gymshark Regent St is massively let down by it’s management. Store leadership lack the care for individuals with team members being left to feel like numbers and they are happy to excuse and brush disgusting behaviour under the rug. There is no room for internal progression in-store with any opportunities being externally hired for. Management will choose favourites and mistreat the team members that don’t fall into their favourites.

Pros

- The company has amazing people across all departments and management levels. - Extremely generous and state of the art facilities, with great benefits and considerate people who provide support whenever needed. The culture is one of its major highlights and is one the driving attributes within the company. There is a large focus on employees' wellbeing on both mental and physical health and diversity within the workplace is ever-expanding. Due to the short time the company has been active, there is a lot of unexplored territories in which an experienced employee can flourish. There is always a great feeling of heading to work on a daily basis.

Cons

I can only speak for the department in which I work in but there is a lack of a legitimate plan with a set timescale where an employee can work on to advance within their career, whether that be a skillset or exposure to a higher role. There seems to be a push back on promoting employees in order to aid the growth of the company as support is hired externally, too quickly at times. There is a lack of transparency as to where the individual employee stands within the salary bands at the company. Multiple people within the company have been hired through "Who they know, not what they know" and they "occupy" the higher role, which can hinder the progress for people who have joined the company at a later stage who may have better skillsets and more experience.
