      Free lunches on a pretty regular basis

      Cons

      Don't walk the walk with regard to equal opportunity for women. This is a Good Old Boy Company Nationwide. Female execs are only there as a token measure. They are big on hiring "a face" and not tech experts.

      People were generally nice, benefits were okay.

      Cons

      This is an old company, and they don't like to pay for things. I often went to trainings necessary for my job that I had to go to on my own time as they hated when you did anything that wasn't project related. They're very stingy. My group in particular wasn't great to work for. Training was non-existent and my young boss had the attitude of 'if I had to figure all this out for myself than you should too.' When I asked questions I often got vague answers and was then told things I did were wrong even though no one could originally tell me how they should be done. You can only get ahead if you kiss up, and favoritism is rampant. I asked multiple times for help getting where I wanted to go in the company and my boss was never really willing to help me because it wouldn't benefit her. Others who went out drinking with her were often the ones promoted.

      If I had it to do all over I again I would have stayed on unemployment.

      Pros

      Most of the people I dealt with were great, but my boss wanted me to have a complete understanding of 6 systems within 6 days of 1/2 day training, when I didn't he threatened to fire me. He did this to the previous employee who quit after 2 weeks.

      Cons

      If you want to have a family life forget about it. They expect 24 7.
