Pros

The valve products and production quality is excellent

Cons

The underlying problem with this organization is "schadenfreude." It is part of the culture and almost promoted and encouraged. They revel in their colleagues misfortunes. The executive board is an incestuous group. One lies, the others swear upon the lie, and this poison permeates throughout the whole organization to create a worldwide company of apathetic employees. The management is living on the success of the past. The current CEO has created a reign of terror and they all continue to play the fiddle as Rome burns.

Pros

Family orientated, great starting place for many Engineers, very hands on. Everyone has the opportunity to grow and learn something different.

Cons

Cross training is a bit unorganized. Every one wants to be the " Top Dawg" hard to take direction when it changes from person to person constantly, and they Manager contradict the other.

Pros

Great place to learn basic machining skills on some fairly new equipment. Wide range of equipment to learn on. Good benefits with a fair bit of paid time off.

Cons

Lower end of the pay scale for machine work and paid time off doesn't come close to making it even. Management is EXTREMELY poor. Two months ago the only knowledgeable supervisor and a couple of the best machinists were laid off (fired). The official reason was due to business conditions but the real reason is because they were competent and posed a threat to the in-group currently dominating the shop floor. This in-group lacks any sort of professionalism or integrity and have nobody to answer to but themselves and a naive executive from Austria so there's no end in sight. If you're part of that group or barely adequate at your job then you're golden. The market for natural gas is terrible and the company has no plans to diversify. Their only plans are to install automatic machinery to replace the people on the shop floor. And they plan on doing this after having let go of just about everyone that's capable of getting things set up correctly.
