Pros

Very talented and hardworking engineering team. Startup culture with a relaxed atmosphere, stocked kitchen and weekly team lunches. Cutting edge technology with huge growth potential in the financial technology space. Upper management offers a great deal of exposure to our clients, the customer pipeline and growth opportunities for the organization. Company-wide, this creates a strong sense of commitment and excitement about the future of HPR.

Good people but harmful environment

Pros

HPR has plenty of great, highly talented engineers that are fun to work with. The work associated with the unique problem space can be very interesting.

Cons

Upper management allows very little input into technical direction, extremely long hours (and occasional weekends) mostly due to poor (or zero) project planning, engineers end up spending a large portion of time on customer support issues. Highly manipulative upper management resulting in a harmful environment to work in.
