Pros

Good leadership (all managers are on top of our needs). A lot of opportunities to develop our career. Has been in business for more than 10 years, management knows how to execute.

Cons

Share more information with all of us. More focus in quality (already improved a lot since I joined the company).

Pros

You do learn a lot because it is such a small company, you can get your hands on everything if you'd like.

Cons

Management plays favoritism on who gets promoted. It is not about whether you do a good job, but rather who you are related to, who you know in the company and who your friends are. They try to pigeonhole you in your current department and block you when you try to transfer to a different department. Salaries are all over the place, there is no standard base to start from based on position, people doing the same thing make vastly different amounts. They just did a huge layoff and mandatory furlough for the remaining people. The mandatory unpaid day varies and it was not dependent on salary or department, because people with lower salaries were got cut 20% (4 day work week), people with higher salaries got cut 10% (1 unpaid day off every two weeks). Loyalty is down, depressing environment to be in.

Pros

In general it was an easy going place. Hours were OK, but there were many, many times that you would stay after or work on things during the weekend and there was no recognition or 'Thanks'. I know in the developer world this is almost expected of you, but at HRsmart it REALLY was expected of you.

Cons

1) No recognition of overtime. 2) The pay is about what you might expect JUST getting out of college even if you had been there for 4 almost 5 years. 3) No One and I mean No One really listened to you when you had a good idea or a positive change. 4) Code was split between 2 coding languages making it hard to keep track of what was what.
